Why We Do What We Do
WHO WE ARE…
Animal Rescue Associates, Inc, is a licensed, No-Kill, No-Shelter rescue organization made up of rescuers throughout
…all dedicated and working collectively to save discarded, abandoned and displaced lives.
Animal Rescue Associates strives to reduce the vast overpopulation of unwanted pets by:
· Rescuing countless adoptable pets awaiting their avoidable fate of euthanasia in high-kill facilities.
· Offering adoption of rescued, homeless pets.
· Providing re-homing services for displaced pets.
· Contributing education on the humane care and treatment of animals, as well as the importance of spaying and neutering in our communities.
- Supporting and believing that high volume, community based
sterilization campaigns are the humane, logical and sustainable strategy to combat the over population of cats and dogs. - Supporting the No-Kill, No-Shelter approach.
WE ARE RESCUE...
The many, though not nearly enough, innocent lives that are being saved from abandonment, neglect, abuse and unnecessary euthanasia due to no fault of their own, can only be done by the generous hard work of volunteers – AND YOU.
RESCUE.
Most of the animals Animal Rescue Associates, Inc rescues and makes available for adoption were BEGGING for rescue, awaiting their horrific fate of death, in city or county pounds which practice high rates of euthanasia.
Due to the vast amount of surplus, discarded and displaced pets, the animals would have been put to death by lethal injection or gas chamber before the week was out.

ADOPT A RESCUE.
The adoption cost of your new pet may vary and it assists us in the rescue of another. This cost vastly outweighs, for the services received, retail veterinary costs for you.
Animal Rescue Associates DOES NOT have a shelter, and most animals are awaiting their forever homes in loving foster care; in order for us to get a jump start on training, learn their unique personalities and to ensure they are a perfect match for you!
I Am An Animal Rescuer
My job is to assist God's creatures
I was born with the drive to fulfill their needs
I take in helpless, unwanted, homeless creatures without planning or selection
I have bought dog food with my last dime
I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand
I have hugged someone vicious and afraid
I have fallen in love a thousand times
And I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body too many times to count
I have animal friends and friends who have animal friends
I don't often use the word "pet"
I notice those lost at the road side
And my heart aches
I will hand raise a field mouse
And make friends with a vulture
I know of no creature unworthy of my time
I want to live forever if there aren't any animals in Heaven
But I believe there are...
Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind
Some may think we are master of the animals
But the animals have mastered themselves
Something people still haven't learned
War and abuse make me hurt for the world
But a rescue that makes the news gives me hope for mankind
We are a quiet but determined army
And we are making a difference every day
There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan
Nothing more rewarding than saving a life
No higher recognition than watching them thrive
There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play, who only days ago, was too weak to eat
By the love of those who I've been privileged to rescue
I have been rescued
I know what true, unconditional love really is
For I've seen it shining in the eyes of so many...
Grateful for so little...
